After 2 long years.. she has broken up with me saying she’s unsure if she wants anything more serious with me (as in marriage), and that we argue a bit too much (which she has admitted its both of our faults). This couldn’t come at a worse time… I can’t concentrate on FAR. All I did today was watch a 3 hr lecture. Thats it. We are both accounting grads, and going for the CPA. She started work already a month ago (thats when our problems started). She would be at the metro around 10pm, and I would pick her up and take her home, where I would hang out with her and her family for an hour or so. She would be so exhausted that we would spend very little time together (which I am okay with). But she would snap at any little thing…

We went through everything together.. junior/senior year together, graduation, interviews, and a study abroad trip. life sucks. Thought I was going to marry this girl.. I guess not.

sorry for the off topic, just needed somewhere to vent.

It should be easy finding dates studying for this monster. I'd suggest spending your weekends at your local college library (if they allow public access). The more prestigious the university, the better, as competition may be too nerdy to be a factor. I study at Stanford every weekend and there are tons of eligible young women, doing the same thing as you – studying like crazy.

@futuremdcpa I know i posted in this a while back. But i just got my results for REG today and I passed. I did not let the breakup conquer me instead i put everything into studying and it payed off. This is the best feeling ever.

@futuremdcpa: i know this may sound corny, but there's a positive side to this. if you can get over the break up and stop thinking about her, not having a GF opens up so much time for you to study and get this $hit done. you're halfway there, DON'T FALTER NOW. and it's absolutely true what everyone's been saying – it may hurt like a biotch right now but the pain WILL get better. stay strong!

For all of those that end up having relationship problems because of the time commitment(myself included) remember that by going through this you are investing in yourself and your future. Those that do not see this, and support you in what you are doing at this most basic level will DEFINITELY not be there for you later in life when something worse happens.

Personally I would rather have my SO leave me earlier over something stupid like time commitment for the CPA then a few years from now when I have to work hard and build my career.

Im not even exaggerating, you guys have really helped me get through this.. I don't really feel lonely or anything like I did a week or so ago. I just miss the memories we had.

I like my alone time now, I can study so much more since i don't waste time with her. Once I pass, I will let life play its course. I WILL CONQUER FAR!!!!!!!

@proach33 – GOOD JOB!!!! 🙂 I find out about AUD tomorrow.. Im not very hopeful though.. those sims killed me..

@bhmnrhpsdy – It doesn't hurt so much anymore.. just like I said above, the memories is what I will miss. But I've been able to study A LOT more, and hit the gym like I used to before!

@Dmitri – Very right. I do not want to be with a girl and spend all my time taking care of her, if shell leave me NOW over something stupid. I did everything for this girl. But its okay, because I've learned a lot over the years from different girls.. Next girl to get me is gonna be one lucky girl!!!!!
