OT: Too Many OT threads ? - Page 2

    Just asking … we are having more and more off-topic threads.

    Is it distracting? No big deal?

    I was considering making an “official” OT thread to keep them all in one spot … maybe that’s a bad idea .. I welcome any feedback.

    Perhaps a poll is in order?

    Everyone has different priorities, including those going through the exam. Some just use the site for a break and to hang out with people going through the same thing. Some are here to ask specific questions about review courses, strategies, etc. Some, my least favorite, register after they pass just to tell everyone they passed.

    Personally, even when I was taking the exams, the primary purpose of this site served as a break from my actual studying. The OT threads provided a much needed laugh.

    The OT threads are also my favorite! I get to interact with many smart people in my life; I feel like I could actually hang out with some of the people on here and have fun.

    As I do agree that the OT topics are entertaining however I believe too many can change what the site was created for. It does seem like there are more responses to OT threads then others about the cpa exam. You can take that for what it is worth, good or bad. OT threads are not bad but I personally believe too many can be a bad thing. Just my opinion.

    FAR - Attempt 1-(70)...Attempt 2 (Passed Baby)-Praise the Lord-Couldn't have done it without him.
    AUD- Attempt 1-Passed!!!!!!!!! )-Praise the Lord-Couldn't have done it without him.
    REG-Attempt 1-(73)...Attempt 2 (Passed Baby)-Praise the Lord-Couldn't have done it without him.
    BEC-Attempt 1-(71)...Attempt 2 (Passed Baby)-Praise the Lord-Couldn't have done it without him.

    ****What is one Golden Rule for Passing the Exam? 1) Read the question properly. and 2) Leave yourself enough time to answer all of the....
