Say “if you drink your bath water – you're out.”

    … and then follow-through. 🙂

This thread cracks me up because my 2 year old drinks her bath water too! We just tell her no and then tell her if she is going to continue to do it, then she has to get out of the bathtub. It SUUUUCCCKKKKSSSS to deal with the meltdown after but it is what it is, I made the rule and now I have to follow through with it. Sigh. They are just so darn cute that it is hard to not cave!

Hahaha..my 2 yrs old does the same thing. So one day I let him drank as much as he wanted, then he apparently said ” mom, its gross!” that was after 3 burpppsss. Lol. I havent seen him drinking em since then.

My son does the same thing. At the beginning I was concern, but I google it, and as long as the tub is clean, and they don't do any “discharge” either 1 or 2, it is fine. I don't remember if the article was from webmd.com or babycenter.com.

Now, when he see that I grab my computer or my books he says “I wanna estudiar” (estudiar=study, he is on Spanglish mode all the time) and go for his books too. He will either enjoy or hate studying later in life LOL

I'm 22, hoping not to have to deal with all of the things in this thread for another decade or so 🙂

Yeah, I've tried the threat thing before, but my problem is with following through with it. I can't say no to that puppy face!

@cpaterminator – I think that is child abuse no matter how you look at it. I'm assuming that was a joke.

To those of you who still have babies, treasure these days, no matter how tired you get. Before you know it those babies will be 6'1″ and looking down at you while you threaten to take the Xbox away!

I'm the opposite – I've had baby fever since I can remember! Always thought I'd be married at 25 & I'd have 3 or 4 kids. Well God had other plans – I didn't get married until I was 34, had my one and only just a couple of months shy of 36. She's now 5 1/2 and starting Kindergarten in August! The time goes SOOOO fast, I *almost* miss the bathwater-drinking days! Although I do wonder if she will EVER outgrow playing with the dog food…?

CPA exam on hold while I homeschool my 6 year old!
