    I am still amazed by things coming back from the 90s. The clothes (neon colors definitely stick out), the sunglasses, even the music being played in stores! I grew up in the 80s and 90s. Wore the baggy sweaters, leggings, … I want some suspenders, lol! I’ve been playing Vanilla Ice, Beastie Boys, and have been saying Cool Beans, lmao. Any 80s/90s kids around here? Remember New Kids on the Block?! I had a huge crush on Jordan, lol.

    I loved Ace of Base in high school. Bon Jovi and Val Halen kicked butt too. What about Poison and Billy Idol! I still like Billy Idol's “Hot in the city”. I was just thinking about leather jackets with tons of buckles, big pin buttons, …wow.

    1991-1995 was an amazing time for music.

    Everything since then has been mostly crap or is from a band that already existed in the mid-90s.

    … back to “My So-Called Life” DVDs …

    The 90s were my jam! My most listened-to station on XM Radio lately has been Lithium (Channel 34). 100% 90s alternative and grunge!

    @jtcali, LMAO.

    I have to admit I do love Portland. Haven't been there since I was a teenager.

    @Jeff, I watched the entire season of My So Called Life about two months ago. Too bad there wasn't a second season. It was a cool show.

    Here we go. Song released in 1989, but I know I listened to Bobby in the 90s and I still do! And who doesn't like The Ghostbusters?!

    Jeff & Msgolds–I LIVE for the music from the early 90s—Lithium is by far my most listened to channel on XM. I can always count on that channel, after flipping through the others thinking, “that's crap. Yep, that's crap too.” (switches channel to Lithium and hears the beginning bass line of Would by Alice In Chains) “Ahhhh…now that's just right.”

    I don't even think a lot of the music they classify as rock nowadays IS rock. Rock to me is from the 90s. Then again, I graduated HS in 1997…which is when (I'm guessing) a lot of people on this site were in elementary school. Dear god I feel old now.

    Portland was really 90's in the 90's too. I think the waking up at 11:00 thing is because there are zero jobs in Oregon, not really a 90's thing. The 2000's are all about being unemployed and sleeping in.

    I think the 90's were not only good for music, cartoons were also great! Hey Arnold, Doug, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats, Tiny Toons, Sailor Moon, Talespin, Peter Rabbit, Animaniacs, Dragon Ball, Little Bear, Arthur

    I live in Portland too… Portlandia nailed it. Music has went downhill since the 90's.
