If someone’s head is big and not perfectly round, is it that person’s obligation to maintain a full head of hair so as to hide said head? Where can I find authoritative literature on the topic?

All kidding aside… I have a big semi-oblong head. I’m in my late 20’s but don’t have any balding yet. But overall I’m just sick of having hair. My line of occupation is in Corporate Accounting. How much flak am I going to get at work for shaving my head even though my bald head doesn’t look so good? Any other men experienced this? Am I making too much of a big deal out of this? Anyone? Bueller?

Never noticed the shape of a man's head when it was shaved. I personally LOVE a shaved head. Superhot. Way better than a man trying to hide receding hair. Bald head = confidence. Combover = ewwwww.

Conventional wisdom says that dudes who have to shave their head would KILL to not have to do so…so keep fighting the good fight and have a respectable haircut.

I would give my left testicle to have a full head of hair. Not even kidding.

My hair started falling at 14 years old, it looked incredibly bad by 20 and now at 26 I have almost nothing left. It has really accelerated these last 5 years for some reason. Sad thing is my dad and grandfather have a full head of hair and I never used gel in my life (to avoid hairloss….funny).

To make matters worse, I happen to have a big head so I don't look good bald. I'm already used to it but it still hurts my confidence when I'm talking to people and I notice their eyes looking at my massive hairloss as if I'm not going to notice. I know there are worse things in life but what a cruel thing to happen to such a young guy.

I'm also forced to shave my head but I think the skinhead look isn't the best on me. I feel like I look better when my head has more of a 5 o'clock shadow thing going on with it. Clippers with no attachment provides this effect. I think people with chiseled faces pull off the skinhead look better. I go back and forth but yeah I SOOOO would not be shaving my head if I didn't have too.

Have you tried Biotin? I think the recommended dose for hair and nails growth is 1000mcg. You can google it.

I can't imagine shaving my head unless I was going seriously bald. I hate the daily routine of shaving my face, and the throught of having three times more surface area without needing to…

I grew a beard for a role in a local production of Fiddler on the Roof, and while the not shaving was nice, a full beard in Florida is a bit much. So I'm back to shaving.

I think the attitude and personality has a lot to do with being able to own a shaved head. I don't like my hair and am also tired of messing with it so I have been slowly getting it cut shorter and shorter and will eventually move to a #1 or #2 guard all over. The slow process is so I don't just show up to work with a shaved head, shock everyone and have to deal with all the comments. The sneak attack might be an option for you also.
