Jokami – I did the same thing at first but then my husband took away the card until I pass so I'm going to put my new puppy on it!
March 17, 2012 at 3:08 am #411296yankeeaccountantParticipantI haven't figured it out yet! Secretly, I just want to stay home do NOTHING, and watch movies that I love to watch. Seriously, doing nothing sounds like such a treat. Having to plan out study time each day, weekend, etc., it would be a real treat to not have to plan the day away.!!
But on second thought, an IPad,vacation, or a puppy ( boxer or french bulldog–my Boston needs a sibling!!)
April 7, 2013 at 2:18 am #411297MintsRGoodParticipantBump!!! 🙂 What is everyone planning to treat themselves to once they pass? Are you waiting until you pass all 4 for a big reward or are you rewarding as you pass each part? No reward is too big or too small for a job well done, so let's hear it! 🙂

My mom and dad gave me money for passing and I bought the most gorgeous tv armoire.
April 7, 2013 at 2:32 am #411299LSNYCMember@Mints great bump! But what about you? What are you rewarding yourself with? After each section or at the end?
@candothis – SO JEALOUS about George!!
My husband and I have planned a 2nd honeymoon (kinda) to Europe in September, That will be my major reward, I just hope I am really done by then! I also reward my self after each exam (pass or fail) by reading a book for fun! I love to read and really miss it when i am studying.
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!
April 7, 2013 at 3:19 am #411300MintsRGoodParticipant@Candothis that sounds like a great trip and enjoy your fab armoire!!! You worked SO hard and deserve it!!!!
@Lsync your Europe trip sounds AMAZING!!!!!!! Sounds like great motivation to destroy REG in May! You are SO close, keep up the good work!!!!
Personally, I am guilty of two major retail obsessions: Tiffany & Co. and expensive shoes!!!! I decided that I would add a new Tiffany charm to my Tiffany charm bracelet for each section passed. For REG, I picked up the black pump (it has a tiffany blue sole, squeal!!!!) and hopefully will be making a Tiffany run after 4/16 when I will hopefully have seen the last of evil Auditing!!! When I've passed ALL 4 parts and have a license in hand, I will be splurging on a pair of Christian Louboutin Simple 100 pumps and a fabulous vacation with Hubby is in order! A girl can dream, right? 🙂
Let's keep the retail/travel therapy going, BUMP!!!!! 🙂
Good Luck Everyone!!!!!

April 7, 2013 at 4:16 am #411302SeattleAccountantMemberGotta brag about this part. This is a best part of my CPA exam experience, no doubt!!!!
So far, “rewarded” myself with 3 pairs of shoes but in reality these are work/dress shoes, and two workout pairs, so nothing fancy and all needed stuff.
Oh yeah, after each exam just right after it get to enjoy a surprise restaurant trip with my spouse. Must admit it is hit or miss: one time great dinner and second time, awful weird food.
Once i pass all four sections, my immediate family will schedule either vacation in tropics with all-inclusive or veg out in Hawaii. So looking forward to it and trying my best to both pass the exams and stay in shape. That's the ideal plan, will see how's that going to turn out!
Becker Class of Jan - Aug 2013: FARB DONE!!!!

CPA license pending 🙂April 7, 2013 at 1:49 pm #411304MCLKTParticipantMy reward will be taking time to take care of myself (gotta lose my CPA 20lbs) and my home (spring cleaning in the fall!). There are trips planned to Boston because my best friend is having a baby shortly after I should receive my final score 🙂
And most importantly, time with my daughter. We are going to go do all of the little things we've missed out on over the past year and a half.
Days at the pool, park, library, and theme park. Doing things together like gardening, cooking, arts and crafts.
I'll let her have her first official slumber party and join the team activities (soccer, dance, whatever she wants!).
I can't wait!

*NINJA 10 Pt. COMBO & Yaeger*April 7, 2013 at 2:44 pm #411305smp73MemberAfter each exam I take myself shopping. I go directly from the test center to Ann Taylor. 🙂
After I pass them all I plan to take myself to Ireland, enroll one of my dog in some sort of agility class and finish a quilt I have started. Also considering training for a half marathon, but that is still up in the air.
NYS CPA License # 113563
CIA: Done as of 2/15/14Training for a half marathon post studying!
April 7, 2013 at 3:26 pm #411306AnonymousInactiveI don't do anything extraordinary after passing an exam, but do take a couple days off studying. An afternoon beer or two was in order after I got my passing scores though! Got to have those couple days to keep the momentum going!! I do have a couple trips planned after my final test, so I hope the last score release for me brings good news. I'll be on a plane to chicago for a wedding of my last score release, and I'll have just finished up my MAcc. Just got to keep pushing forward until June. Also, am about to book plane tickets to New York for one last vacation at the end of June before I start fulltime with big 4 in July.
Glad to see everyone else has some fun things in store after passing these exams!!

April 9, 2013 at 12:32 am #411308MintsRGoodParticipantBump!!! More contributions please, this is great stuff from everyone!!!! 🙂
I love this thread because it's encouraging to think about the light at the end of the tunnel and that fun and exciting times are on the other side!
Seriously, reading about what everyone is looking forward to helps make this process feel a tiny bit less miserable today! 🙂
