I started listening to live Grateful Dead clips found all over the internet while studying BEC. I'm not really a deadhead, or really into that scene at all, more of a metal head really, but it is really good brain food music with all the spacey randomness of Jerry's guitar. It helps to block out the irritating conversations and noises at Starbucks and the libraries. I prefer the live shows, in which there are thousands of hours recorded on the net. Supposedly, the dead allowed fans to record at shows and some used very sophisticated recording equipment. Some recordings sound extremely professional, like they were plugged into the soundboard.
