OT: Is $40 worth it?

    I bought some clothing items from an online website and long story short they said “worldwide express shipping” would take 5-6 business days. I have been waiting 12 days now and have not received my package. I have called and emailed this company and have gotten no response. What should I do? I can report them to the BBB but that won’t get my money back and for $40 it’s not worth it going through legal system to get it back but I am worried about my debit card information that I used for the purchase.

    It's probably just taking longer than expected. I ordered something for Christmas from China on 12/6 and it arrived on 1/7 (was not back ordered) ticked me off but it did arrive. Even UPS got in some hot water for delayed deliveries, and their stance is that they don't guarantee delivery.

    Call your bank to dispute this transaction. You bank can stop and reverse the charge at no cost to you.

    My biggest thing is that they say they will respond to inquiries within 24 hours. I emailed on 01/08, 1/13/, 1/15 and called them during business hours and no response at all.

    Like Amordiva said contact your financial institution.

    I was a manager at a bank and our process for an under $50 was just a quick claim. Basically it isn't worth it for the bank to do any investigation at that dollar amount and we would credit the customer for the amount of the disputed Regulation E charge on the spot. Took 5 minutes tops. If the goods arrive at a future date then you just got some free goods.
