While I’m sure for many here yesterday and today are happy days as far as the CPA exam is concerned. Let us remember those who lost their lives in the tragedy of 9/11 in 2001. Let us also remember all those heroes who risked their lives to rescue others. Also, let us remember the families and friends affected by the loss of loved ones from these events.

I pray for the souls of all those who lost their lives as a result of this tragedy and for all those affected by the incident.

I had just graduated (Summer 2001 grad) and I was job hunting. I sat and watched all day. We all have similar stories I'm sure.

A guy that I used to work with was there on 9/11/01 … I don't think he was in the actual building, but was in the streets. He gave a talk on it a few years ago … what it was like to be there. Horrifying.

I remember I was in my HS Physics class and my room got a phone call. My teacher was talking to another teacher and was told to put on the TV. We had a big projector in my room and we watched a replay as the second plane had just hit the WTC. I did not comprehend what was happening. I think I was in shock.

Last year at seminary one of the monks told us about his experience as a fire chief digging for survivors and how he saw a fireman and a priest die giving last rites on the scene. It gave me a whole new prospective on the tragedy as I was touched by someone with a firsthand experience.

I was in my Junior High math class when my teacher was told to turn on the tv. A friend of mine started hysterically crying saying that her grandfather worked in that building. It was so scary and I felt so bad.

    I will never forget.

I send my prayers to the victims, both surviving and not, and to their families as well.
