Having Deb be Dexter’s last kill was weirdly perfect, but I didn’t really like anything after that. Forcing your girlfriend to become a single mom for your son in a foreign country is kinda lame and self-centered. I’m also confused about how Dexter outswam that tropical storm. Also curious to hear people’s thoughts about the very final scene when he looks at the camera.

I didn't really want Deb to die, I didn't like how he sent Hannah and Harrison off to Argentina without him, the logistics of how he survived the storm don't make sense, and now he's some logger somewhere doing who knows what? Of all the ways they could have ended the show, they chose this? I don't know, maybe I'll like it more in the morning, but as of now, not a fan.

I quit watching after the Trinity killer. They should have made the season after that one the finale.

I always thought the series should end with him getting busted and the final episode was a trial where the past several seasons were rehashed and he gets sentenced to death row or something.

Then again, I'm just an accountant so what do I know.

For me, each season was only as good as its guest star, so I enjoyed Seasons 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8. Season 8 was a drag, but at least it still had Yvonne Strahovski in it 😉

Oof. Anything resembling “he was dead all along” (final season of LOST) or “it was all a dream” (Dallas) have to be the worst possible ideas. But those aren't much worse than the ending they gave us. That alternate ending was anything but creative. Thankfully, due to the level of awfulness the show gave us over the past 4 years, I was fully prepared for them to deliver something that had all the pizzazz of gas station ham sandwich. Nothing like having one of your strongest characters in Deb just go quietly into the night. The show should have gone out with a bang like Breaking Bad is about to do.
