TL:DR version—>

Boss is super busy all the time, constantly rescheduling meetings, ultimately impacting my productivity.

Is this just part the corporate world and having a boss who reports to a VP/Exec?

Should I just suck it up and deal with it or is it worth bringing up?

Longer version/back story—>

My boss has 6 direct reports. Every meeting I schedule with him he either shows up late (5-20 minutes minimum because his last meeting went over), or the meeting gets rescheduled multiple times because he is having to move it around to make room for other meetings he is having with other direct reports. Many times the meetings he is having me reschedule also include other high level managers from different parts of the company so I then have to find time on their schedules too to reschedule… and it just looks bad.

I personally feel he is overloaded because all his meetings are back to back to back, and many times he asks me to schedule a meeting over lunch if I’m ok with it (which of course I am, when else can I meet with him?).

I estimate that I spend a minimum of 10% of my time waiting on him, rescheduling meetings, juggling conference room reservations, meeting invites, etc. That said, it definitely cuts back on my productivity and other areas of my schedule that I constantly have to move around to accommodate for him.

My boss is a great person and really aims to help with your growth/development. He is very direct in his communication and performance feedback (which I am having no issues with). He has been at the company over 20 years and a manager for at least 15. He also likes his employees to be direct and communicate any issues to him asap.

That said- is this one even worth mentioning or do I suck it up?
