Were you nice or naughty?

I feel like anyone who’s currently studying for the CPA exam is automatically on the “nice” list/deserves like 45 presents!
I asked for a trumpet and a new bath robe. Hopefully not to be used too often at the same time,

On the TV conversation… I only have a Hulu and Netflix. I can get my local channels with an HD antenna and I'm happy!
On the ring side… I can wish all I want, but I think it's happening in January now. His hints are pointing that way. Maybe he is like Ihay's man and wants to be unexpected~ lol! My poor man is in the middle of busy season for auditors of governmental entities, so deep deep down inside I know it isn't going to be this month. But I can dream!

December 17, 2013 at 4:09 pm #500519neika822Participant@little – Yeah, that's what I want to do! There's also an $8/month app called Aereo that can get all the local stations that would play on regular cable. We were concerned about watching local sports (without paying for all of the sports packages), but Aereo seems to be our answer!
R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINADONE, DONE, AND DONE.
CPA in Massachusetts; issued 01/24/14

December 17, 2013 at 4:12 pm #500521littlenumberrobotMemberI'm one of those people who cannot stand spending money on cable when I'm not even home enough to enjoy it! So I'm willing to pay for fast internet hulu and netflix, which I can also watch on my ipad.

We dated for 3.5 years before we got engaged, but we're pretty sure it was fate because we caught both the bouquet and garter at two different weddings. The second time it happened I said, “Dude if that isn't a sign that you need to propose then I don't know what is.” Not subtle at all. I want a ring for Christmas too. A wedding band that I can actually wear. 3 children in 4 years has made my old band useless and it can't be widened. I would also like people to stop looking at me when I'm out with my 3 small children, then look at my ringless finger, then give me the “You poor thing” look. Hahahahaha.

December 17, 2013 at 9:24 pm #500526Study MonkMemberrunnerup you are lucky to be done with your exams then.
I have a computer that I made a while back with a top of the line graphics card (gtx580). I haven't turned it on since I started studying. I try to stay out of that room to lol. I am going cold turkey from computer games until May 2014 when hopefully I pass the exams and witcher 3 comes out.
I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:
"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

December 17, 2013 at 10:54 pm #500528MintsRGoodParticipantI agree with @Ihay…you never know when the rings are coming…men are sneaky like that! My now husband/back then boyfriend asked me to take off our dating anniversary day from work for a long weekend. My friends and I were 1000% sure I was getting engaged! I got my hair done, mani/pedi, facial, the freaking works because I knew we'd be taking LOTS of photos. Mr. Mints mind you is no dummy and lets just say he didn't try very hard to impress that weekend…on purpose. He wanted our engagement to be a complete surprise. The long weekend was a terrible one and we bickered the ENITRE 3 days. At one point I actually screamed at him “I thought we were getting engaged this weekend, WTF?!?!” to which he replied “Why the hell would you think that???” and the stinker had MY ENGAGEMENT RING in his fireproof safe under his bed the entire time. A month later he proposed at a completely unexpected time and I was blown away! When we laugh about it now but I like to tell him that he's very lucky that he's good looking and coughed it up for a nice rock or else he would have looking for a new Mrs. Mints after that horrible weekend! 😉 Keep the faith ladies! 🙂
Mr. Mints needs to hang with Mr. Baxter because my engineer husband is obsessed with gadgets, remotes, and went as far as rewiring the recessed lights in our living room so he could turn them off and on with an app on his iphone. We have the Iris Home Security system from Lowes and basically it can automate your entire house. He's redone our electrical, our thermostat, installed motion sensors, door sensors, cameras, etc. in the name of technology greatness! “Look honey, I can turn off the lights and turn up the heat with my phone!” to which I say “Is your arm broken?” 😉

Sometimes these simple creatures just need to pick their own time/day/event to propose. Whether it turns out to be a viral youtube video engagement or just you two at home on a sunday morning, the day will always be special and lovely no matter what 🙂
Mr. Nbad proposed during a 5 day trip we took to Jamaica. I wasnt expecting it at all, I didnt think he was ready to get engaged and I was ok with that. We got there in the affernoon of day 1 and he proposed the morning of day 2. In typical miss nbad fashion I had a big handful of chocolate chip cookies in my mouth when he got down on one knee. I still have the empty cookies wrapper as a special keepsake 🙂
