I’ve kind of meandered my way into working for government subcontractors (my current and previous employers both manufacture for DoD.) I’ve taken a basic course on the Federal Acquisition Regulations and can kind of almost navigate my way though a contract. But Audits from DCMA, DCAA, etc scare the jeebers out of me.
There is a designation called CFCM (Certified Federal Contracts Manager) which I’m sure would be an asset to me. Has anybody ever investigated or know a CFCM? Is it TRULY necessary to take a course, or like the CPA exams can you do it yourself with a recommended training material?
