Is it just me or does it seems like this forum is dominated by CPA candidates from California?? Perhaps that’s the reason why they made the ethics test so hard! 🙂

Study Monk, you eying public or private? Loooong lead time on public jobs, ie: interviews in Fall'2013 for Fall'2014 hires–so you'd have PLENTY of study time in between, with a job lined up!

Also, plenty of people do study + work, its not fun, but its doable. I would recommend getting the search going, I'd rather be studying while working than searching with the test done.

State jobs in Sacramento? Sure, they hire all the time… depends on what you are looking for. The entry level positions you should be looking at include: auditor, tax auditor, evaluator.

Study Monk, glad I could help with the NYE planning 😉 and I can see now why you can't move. I'd love to live in Orange County by the ocean but I do love the idea of owning my own house so for that reason I have to stay in Sac.

LA Country! And City! Okay, the San Fernando Valley. Hey, I know how uncool it is but it's still technically Los Angeles..:)

I just love Ojai (Ventura people), we go there as often as we can and stay at the Emerald Iguana. Love it. Going on Jan.1 and I can't wait. The last bit of relaxation before tax season.
