Is it just me or does it seems like this forum is dominated by CPA candidates from California?? Perhaps that’s the reason why they made the ethics test so hard! 🙂

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)

    Another Cali candidate here!

I am about to start working in one of the Big Four in San Jose office next fall. Any future colleagues here?

California candidate. need a job. hire me.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

I am sure there are a lot of jobs up in Sac town, but my girlfriend has a good job in San Francisco. We also have a nice house in San Anselmo. In all seriousness I am looking to pass a few sections before I go on a job search I was just feeling silly when i did the above post. I can not imagine preparing for FAR while working. By the way your news year eve comment helped me decide to push back my test yet again from January 2nd to the 7th. Since I got REG the 28th of February no more push backs…

    I'm in Sac…

Is the State really hiring? I guess I haven't been checking the state consistently, but it seems like everytime I look they only want internal hires or the job has been vacant some awful amount of time and I assume that they aren't actually trying to fill it? All the state workers get discounted child care at the

I work at a NPO trade association. There are lots of those and NPO's in general in Sacramento too.

I don't think I'd move from the Bay Area to Sacramento for work though… A lot more opportunities in the bay area.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
