Is it just me or does it seems like this forum is dominated by CPA candidates from California?? Perhaps that’s the reason why they made the ethics test so hard! 🙂

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Really? I haven't seen all that many (except for myself and like three others).

    I've met (virtually-speaking) more from the east-coast/Midwest.

But you know why there are so many from CA right?

Because that's where all the money's at, yo. 😛

    BEC (July 2013)
    FAR (OCT 2013)
    REG (NOV 2013)
    AUD (JAN 2014)

The CPA Exam is an opponent that not even the Fellowship of the Ring would want to come across.

    I have a long...long...journey ahead of me.

There are really only a handful CA candidates I've ran into there. There are lot of Oregon, Texas and Eastern State candidates also. Maybe we just like to ask for help alot, lol, or you just happen to be online when we are due to a similar time zone.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

(Combinations of Roger, Yaeger, Wiley Book, Wiley TB, & NINJA Notes)

    Ethics 90%

There are a lot of people in California.

Although now that you mention it, there are some states I've never seen anyone from. (On this forum.) (Actually, ever, if I really think about it.) Like Iowa or Idaho or North and South Dakota.

Then again, it's not the default to say one's state. Maybe those of us from CA are more likely to say it?

CA resident, formerly NY'er like so many here in sunny Los Angeles 🙂

It's because the process in California is a bit complicated. Having gone through the process in my current state, California is a headache. There are about 6 types of candidates, two pathways, general and attest license types….the whole thing is a little confusing (comparatively speaking).

I am about to start working in one of the Big Four in San Jose office next fall. Any future colleagues here?
