Just needed a break from studying, so I figured I’d start this much needed post (Please remove it, Jeff, if you don’t think it’s necessary, but as a Heisenberg fan, I hope you won’t :))

With the series finale in 4 days, I wanted some theories of what people might think happens.

Me personally, I think Walt goes back to NM (he HAS to, because of the foreshadowing episode of him getting the ricin out of his home’s electrical socket.) It occurred to me that he may use it on himself. But then I thought, Walt is no coward. He can’t do that. I think he uses the ricin somehow on Lydia, since she’s pretty much the ring leader of Todd and Uncle Jack’s crew. I think he somehow gets the money to his family … and they refuse it. Then Walt finds out where Jesse is, and goes out in a blaze of glory in an epic scene of magnificent proportions, in a shootout with Todd, Uncle Jack and crew. He gets blown away in the process, however so does everyone else, except Jesse. Jesse survives, gets away and moves on … and a spinoff show is created, so we can continue following Jesse. (At least I hope).

The best part of the show was Walt admitting that he did it for him.

So…I haven't watched lately but I did catch the series finale last night. Question: Was Walt planning to kill Jessie also…and that's why he had Todd go get him… but had a change of heart when he saw him in chains? Or was it his plan to save him the whole time??

Good question … personally, I think he hadn't made up his mind yet, but wanted to see Uncle Jack's and Todd's reaction once he said, “You didn't kill Jesse, you owe me” … and kind of felt it out when he said, “You all are partnering with him”. Then, when he saw Jesse in the chains, “the old, original Walter” kicked in and was sympathetic. I always thought there was a deeper rooted father/son relationship with Walt & Jesse. I don't think he ever could have done it. I think he considered Jesse family … even though there were some very evil parts between the two of them.

I think he was scrambling because he was about to get a bullet in the head and his keychain was sitting on the pool table. Stall tactic.

LOVED the ending! It was perfect.

@FutureCPA12 I like the idea of Jesse becoming a chemistry teacher in Alaska. That's a good one.

@ BaxterCPA I read that Walt had a change of heart at the last minute and instincts kicked in to save him. I also read that the writer's had difficulty trying to decide what to do with the ricin. I guess there is a writer's rule where if “you introduce a gun in Act 1, you better use it by Act 3.” Of course, as viewers, we already knew what Walt should do with it, which is exactly what happened.

@Gatorbates, my son pointed out the same thing about Hule, just sitting there on the couch. They forgot about Hule! I don't suppose he sat their for 6 months while Walt was in New Hampshire though. At some point he must of gotten up off the couch and left.

Breaking Bad was THE best acting I've ever seen on television. How about that last scene with Skylar and Walt. Anna Gunn was absolutely amazing! The range of emotions on her face . . . incredible! You knew what she was feeling without her saying a word. I'm going to really miss the show and will be looking for the actors in other projects. Looking forward to seeing Aaron Paul in Need for Speed and Moses in 2014.

Jimmy Fallon said it best when he tweeted this after the finale: “Tight, tight, tight.” (in the words of Tuco)
