Just needed a break from studying, so I figured I’d start this much needed post (Please remove it, Jeff, if you don’t think it’s necessary, but as a Heisenberg fan, I hope you won’t :))

With the series finale in 4 days, I wanted some theories of what people might think happens.

Me personally, I think Walt goes back to NM (he HAS to, because of the foreshadowing episode of him getting the ricin out of his home’s electrical socket.) It occurred to me that he may use it on himself. But then I thought, Walt is no coward. He can’t do that. I think he uses the ricin somehow on Lydia, since she’s pretty much the ring leader of Todd and Uncle Jack’s crew. I think he somehow gets the money to his family … and they refuse it. Then Walt finds out where Jesse is, and goes out in a blaze of glory in an epic scene of magnificent proportions, in a shootout with Todd, Uncle Jack and crew. He gets blown away in the process, however so does everyone else, except Jesse. Jesse survives, gets away and moves on … and a spinoff show is created, so we can continue following Jesse. (At least I hope).

a lot of death. i feel like there's been so much foreshadowing of lydia drinking and asking for splenda that it actually won't be her who gets the ricin. Vince Gilligan has constantly gone against the grain with stuff like that. i imagine it will be used on someone though. either way, can't wait

Could be. We all know she takes Stevia in her tea.

Not going to lie, seeing Andrea die like that last week was hard because she was completely innocent when compared to the other significant deaths. Hank and Mike's death were difficult as well but not on that same level. They were both pretty involved in the game and were far from blameless in all of this.

After Flynn (Walt Jr) rejected the money last week and told him to piss off, Walt now has nothing to show for all of this. He did it for his family in the first place but now they don't want any part of that. It was interesting seeing the Charlie Rose interview at the end where the Grey Matter founders were discussing Walt. In the span of about 5 minutes, Walt realized that both of his life's pursuits were essentially meaningless (both the empire and his career in science). He's a broken man. I don't know if he deserves to die or not but the man he once was is pretty far gone at this point. The only thing within his power now is to seek revenge on the Nazis and maybe save a shred of honor by freeing Jesse. I really hope Jesse survives because he really is a good guy that's just been manipulated his entire life by Walt and has had to watch everything he loves taken from him. He's still responsible for his actions and all of the hurt he's caused but he was simply a pawn in Walt's chess game. Either way, I'm not expecting a happy ending and I have a hard time believing Walt is going to make it out of this alive.

Random thought: Friday Night Lights is one of my all-time favs and casting Landry as Todd was brilliant! Totally effective in a weird and creepy way.

People seem to give Jesse a pass re: Gale.

    I haven't liked Jesse since.

Jeff – valid point. Nothing can change the fact he murdered somebody in cold blood to protect Walt and his interests. However, a part of me feels like that debt was paid by being forced to watch somebody he loved being hit in almost an identical fashion: knock on the door, killed in cold blood. In a sense the punishment fit the crime.

I just hope Walt Jr. can get one more breakfast out of this before the series ends.

Jesse's punishment should be that he can never say “yo” again.
