That cracked me up! I actually just watch the show right before I go to bed to unwind. Takes the stress off from studying. Beer ruins my sleep and therefore makes me useless the next day. Sleep is king.

I agree with Rocky. It's good to unwind. I look at my time when studying in different categories. If I'm fresh (say on a Sat or sun morning) that is extremely valuable study time and would never consider watching TV during that time (outside of football in the fall perhaps). If I'm at the tale end of a 12 hr work day my brain isn't good enough to study anyway I may as well relax and get a good night's sleep. Anywhere in between is a tossup and really depends what's going on. Committment to studying is critical…but some strategy around a schedule can really help make exam prep more reasonable…

I watch Big Bang Theory or Modern Family right before bed to unwind and shut my brain down from studying. It helps and the humor doesn't hurt either.
