If anyone knows somebody who was granted extra time for either ADHD, ADD, or diagnosed anxiety then please feel free to email me with my email address found at my profile in this forum. I am starting to see a psychologist for my ADHD and anxiety issues and need advice for the kinds of tests the psychologist make you do.

    My question is:

1.) If you have had a psychological examination or testing for an official diagnosis, what tests were they and how many tests total did you take for the diagnosis. Such as Weschler Adult Intelligence Scale 4 and others.

Use the search bar up top, there are several threads started on this topic. Unfortunately it doesn't seem anybody has come forward and admitted to using an ADA accommodation although you are certainly entitled as long as its documented.

I am diagnosed with ADHD and honestly the thought of spending MORE time in prometric than whats already allowed is a real turn off to me. It was all I could do to sit through 3, 3.5, 4 hours of testing, the thought of another hour or so sounds like pure hell to me. but that's just me.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

I have a friend that had accommodations for ADD and Anxiety Disorder. She eventually passed the exam, but it was tougher on her than most. I don't think she had to take any specialized tests, but she had to have documentation from her doctor.

Thanks for your input Kricket and mla1169!

@Kricket, I wonder if your friend was diagnosed with her disabilities a long time before she started the CPA exams or not?

Maybe your friend at one time a long time ago had to have certain IQ tests or reading comprehension tests done before and just had that documentation ready to send in to the CPA examination services to approve for special accommodations when she began her CPA journey?

@Kricket, Also do you happen to know if your friend was granted time-and-a-half or double-time? It's one or the other from what I hear.

    Thank you!
