I am having a hard time focusing on studying due to congestion, headaches, constant sneezing, runny nose, and trouble breathing. I woke up this morning at 4:00am not being able to breathe and after that woke up 10 more times with sneezing attacks. It was horrible! I am exhausted today, have not gotten any studying done, and the Allegra I started taking 5 days ago is NOT working! Anyone suffering with same issue or have any tips/advice?

I am always at Walgreens or CVS getting claritin D behind the pharmacy counter. No prescription, only photo ID. Works like a charm! I swear by it for my allergies year round.

Claratin works for my girls too. Haven't tried Allegra though. i hope it gets better for you. I failed a class a few years ago because I got sick and I was pregnant and couldn't take any good drugs for it. Stayed sick for a month so I feel your pain.

I tried looking for Claritin D on the regular aisle and did not find it. I guess it's because they stash it behind the counter? The Allegra was behind that plastic locked thingy though, and I had to wait forever to get someone to open it. Not sure why Claritin D would not be kept there as well. Anyway, my sister recommended Allegra because it was kind of working for her, although it would start wearing off after 14 hours or so. I may continue taking it for the rest of the week and go buy Claritin D if I see no improvement.

Amay, The D in claritin D is why its behind the counter. They don't want people abusing it so they monitor the sales behind the counter. Go get it in the morning or tonight if you can and I promise you, all of those symptoms will start clearing up ASAP. I get the same way and nothing else works for me. The regular ones in the aisles don't work for bad allergies.

I have been suffering with allergies for a long time. Here are my tips:

    1. Try other meds. Allegra personally does not work for me but does for my husband. Zyrtec is better for me.

    2. Do sinus rinses. These flush out the allergens from your nasal cavity and will help with congestion.

    3. Think about adding a nose spray to your med routine.

    FAR- 85 I'm DONE!
    BEC- 75
    REG- 60,60,75
    AUD- 74,74,83

I have struggled with nasal issues for years and finally performed a surgery in December 2013 (Deviated septum and other things), I am still recovering but have using saline nasal sprays (Ocean, or any generic brand, Neilmed has one too) as guided by the doctor, and they help alot, you can get them pre-mixed which is what I do. Still taking Zyrtec though, I keep sneezing it's so annoying.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 βœ”
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 βœ”
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 βœ”
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 βœ”

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

Also try local honey and eat a teaspoon a day. It saved me last year when the meds were not really helping. I plan on picking up some this weekend and start taking it before the pollen starts getting bad in Tennessee.

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.
