Does anyone have any? Or any CPA-themed tattoos? If so, please share! Yes, I’m thinking about getting one. Don’t judge.

IF I were to get a tattoo, and that is a HUGE IF, then I'd get a yin yang symbol. But I think the only tattoo I would ever actually get would be on my chest and say “Dear Undertaker, please try CPR one more time.” But that's just me.

I was considering the word “debit” on my left shoulder and “credit” on my right. But I'm not really a tattoo kind of person, so I'll probably just get 4 of something nice (gold bangles, silk scarves, who knows).

@jenuno01…sorry I am judging a little. πŸ™‚ Don't do it!! I am mid 30's, a mom and a professional now and all my rockstar tattoos from my youth are a mistake. At least in my opinion. I have several and it is such a pain to try and cover them. They were fun when I was young but I feel differently now. Just wanted to share you may feel differently when you are older. I would rather have glorious looking youthful skin than tattoo's. And with kids running around and going to the pool it is such a pain. Probably a little different for mom's than dad's. But I think a man in good shape is sooooo much sexier than tattoo's. Just my opinion…I live in the midwest now and it is a much more judgemental and conservative than when I lived out west so maybe it will be different for you. But I would really advise against it. Treat yourself to a massage instead! πŸ™‚

@Mom2two thanks for the perspective! If you don't mind asking, where do you have tattoos? If I decide to do it, it won't be anywhere visible

Girls who get dolphins tattooed around their navel in college is always a good idea.

You do have to think about how it may limit your life when you get a tattoo. There are people who will judge you and you have to be ok with that. I have 5 including one on my calf. The others are easily covered for work. However, before I got the one on my calf, I had to think long and hard about how it may limit my job opportunities (no skirts). It was a choice I made and I have never regretted it. I am in my 30's as well and am still getting ink whenever I find something I feel like I will be happy living with forever.

It is different for everybody and a choice you make for yourself. Just wanted to offer the flip side of the coin to Mom2two's comment.

And now I am looking up CPA tattoos on the internet…. πŸ™‚

HAHA Jeff! No thank goodness I did not do that. I have a large dragon on my shoulder blade and most of upper left arm. And of course the lame ankle one. That is on the remove list! The arm one is a tad large so I am not sure I can get that one removed without a significant investment I am not willing to spend. I still like my dragon. πŸ™‚ But if I had to do it over again I would not. I would rather be able to wear what I want and not constantly look for outfits that can cover them. Such a pain!! More so for women because things are strapless or sleeveless as to dresses, etc. Again I didn't even think about the future when I was younger. And while I am confident in who I am, educated, good mom..at least I think! HAHA…now a Christian…I can just tell I get the judgemental looks when people do see them and it is so annoying. At least I can blend in with the people of walmart when I need to…kidding!! Hope I didn't offend anyone. πŸ™‚

I have a frat tat (don't judge) on my ankle.

    I don't regret it … but it was something I did at 21 that I wouldn't do at 34.

    Actually – there are a lot of things I did at 21 that I wouldn't do at 34 πŸ™‚

@jenuno01 I have 2 tattoos – 1 I've had for 3 years, the other since May of this year.

The first was on my ankle – it's a celtic knot with each color representing my birthstone and my 3 brothers' birthstones. I can cover it up if I want, or I can show it off if I want. That's why I picked that spot. I also didn't want a tattoo in my wedding pictures when I eventually got married.

The second tattoo is on my shoulder – it's a single flower from the flowers my husband and I used for our wedding. I got it 10 months to the day after our wedding. I wanted a way to honor our relationship without doing a name or date, etc.

I love both of my tattoos and wouldn't change a thing. They both have meaning to me. Yes, I am still young so I don't have a “looking back on it” opinion, however if you pick decent locations (i.e. parts of your body that won't sag or stretch as much) then why not get a tattoo??

IMO, I would not do a CPA one though. At least not an obvious one. Love tattoos though! Just remember to give yourself time to think about the design and location before actually going through with it. I taped a colored-in template of the celtic knot to my ankle for a week (after thinking about it for a year) before really doing it.
