Hi, I am studying for Audit and plan to take it on January 20. I am asking what is the best order to take the exams. I work in an accounting office and the tax season is coming. What you think is the order of exams to take after January 20?

    Journey Started - June 2015
    FAR - TBD
    AUD - January 20, 2016
    BEC - TBD
    REG - TBD

Hmm, as someone who is studying FAR right now, and struggling pretty hard, I'd say do FAR first. But if you're already halfway with AUD, go for it. I was told that having studied for FAR makes AUD easier. I chose BEC first because I wanted a first pass really badly so I could gain some confidence after reading the discouraging posts about the CPA exam. But passing BEC is by no means an easy feat, regardless of what others say that it is the easiest exam. Ignore them, everyone is different and some subjects are harder for others to swallow.

But if you're doing tax, take REG after AUD. Do it while it's fresh in your mind. Who knows, maybe you'll get a schedule A to create for a sim. I'm hoping that my tax knowledge comes in handy, despite it being 2 years later.

    BEC 80 (10/23/15)
    FAR 72 (4/2/15); 83 (7/11/16)
    REG 52 (4/28/15)
    AUD (9/9/16)
