I am ready to start hunting for a job in public. Does my resume look ok? What can i do to improve it? Any opinions, suggestions are appreciated.
Career Objective
CPA candidate ready to transition from private to public accounting where I can have the opportunity to expand my professional career, explore different industries, and grow along with the organization.
Work Experience
Company XXX Inc 2013-Current
Reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for various accounting functions for the company and its three affiliates in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Major duties and responsibilities include:
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare quarterly financial statements
• Prepare weekly cash flows statements
• Reconcile monthly credit card expense reports
• Ensure that general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
• Maintain and update depreciation and amortization schedules
• Perform all the intercompany billings and ensure related intercompany accounts are in balance
• Supervise and monitor the work of the accounts receivable department
• Maintain regular and detailed interaction with accounts payable, payroll, and production departments
• Assist with inventory count and inventory adjustments
• Perform and assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly closing functions
• Work closely with external auditors for the preparation of yearly reviews
