So I am 13 years out of school and have decided to take my CPA exam. Back in 2007 I purchased the Gleim system but due to medical issues I put off the test and eventually put it out of mind. I’m back at it again and wondering if I could use my old books and lectures on cd with the Njnja MCQ and pass?

FAR will be my first section.

Has anyone used old study materials and passed?

    FAR - 08/30/15 - 90
    AUD - 11/12/15 - 92
    REG - 01/19/16 - 82
    BEC - 02/29/16 - 83

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

I would highly advise against using materials that old. Since then, they have introduced drastic concepts and changes to all sections. FAR will have a lot more emphasis on international/IFRS stuff.

    AUD: Passed
    BEC: Passed
    REG: Studying

If you contact Gleim, they will give you very good discounts for returning users.

The entire exam format changed in 2011. Content aside, your 2007 materials are definitely out of date.
