No dress code for the state of California….so you can wear anything you want 😛

I try to stick to business casual, which BTW does NOT include jeans….but I do wear jeans with hills and nice shirts/blouses. I just hate ironing!

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)

I am lucky – I work with a bunch of engineers and you know that means – they are in flip flops, jeans, and well very dressed down.

So I can wear jeans and nice tops all week 😀 😀

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

Any of you guys rock bow ties?!??? Thinking about it i'm not sure if I should. I know my co-workers and bosses won't care and will think its kinda funny but its still a tough decision, will it make me look unprofessional to a client. Someone please educate me on bow tie etiquette for accountants lol

Current employer: no dress code, really.

    Previous employer: strict dress code

Public accounting: strict dress code – men suits/ties and women – no pants, only dresses/skirts and hosiery.

I was always told to dress for the position that you want not the position that you are in….the workplace that I am about to start at requests business casual to business formal and jeans on Friday only if you have no client meetings…so next week I am going shopping to get more business clothes!! I do worry slightly though as alot of the clients are farmers and I don't want to overdress….

Large regional firm: business casual, pretty lax on that even, given the way I see some people walk around. Casual Fridays, which is nice.

    BEC: (4/2012) 88
    AUD: (5/2012) 91
    REG: (8/2012) 82
    FAR: (1/2013) 78 🙂

Public accounting firm with 30+ professionals: We are business casual every day in the office, except for Fridays where we have Jeans Day (jeans, loafers, nice shirt). During NFL season, we have “Blue Fridays” to show support for the home team Colts so we wear jerseys, tennis shoes, jeans, etc… During NCAA Tournament time, we will have “college days” where employees can wear sweatshirts, tennis shoes, jeans, etc… to show support for their college.

When traveling out to a client's office, we dress however the client wants us to dress. If they want us in professional attire, we wear suits.

    AUD - 93
    BEC - 80
    REG - 86
    FAR - 83
