AnonymousInactiveHey everyone.
I have one more exam until im done with this dreaded test and was thinking of upgrading my car. I have an old pathifinder with over 200k miles and it’s just time for an upgrade.
I was just wondering what everyone here is driving, wants to buy and/or will be buying shortly. People in my office seem to all drive bmws, audis, or mercedes! I don’t know if i could spend that much for a car.

TDKRParticipant2001 Camry, paid off in full when I was in college and in need of reliable transportation to school, work, and interviews.
I followed the Subaru RBZ development since the beginning of the Toyobaru joint venture so I really want that or the new Lexus IS but knowing myself, I'll probably end up with a Prius.

AUD - 74 "so that's what it feels like." Round 2: 79Passing the exam is not impossible task. GIVING UP is the only way YOU can make it impossible!

MintsRGoodParticipantAfter work today, I'm picking up a new red Lincoln MKZ ! SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! π
I'm doing a 2 year lease this time around rather than a 3 year lease as it sucked having to put tires on my current ride (Mazda 3i Sport) just to turn it in! Prior to the above mentioned, I drove a 2001 Cadillac Deville until it literally broke down at 135k. Don't judge…it was one of the most comfy cars I've ever owned but 16 mpg was atrocious! The amount of maintenance an older car requires is a drag, which is why I will keep on leasing for the next few years. I have a 45 minute ride each way to/from work, so having a comfy and safe ride is important to me. And it's a treat to have a new car every 2-3 years too. π
@DJN good for you on your dream car!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!!!!!!!!!!!! π

GoingToBeCPA87MemberI got myself a real simple but spacious 2000 Ford Taurus bought it cash for only $500 and 135K miles on it. No car payments for me, Dave Ramsey would kill me.
I'm planning to drive it hopefully past 250k. I Live in the Bronx, NY and unfortunately having a nice car here is a complete waste of money. I've already been hit overnight TWICE but the car still runs beautifully.
Dream Car: One with no payments, American Made, Maybe a Ford Edge, Used about 3 years old.
FAR: April or May 2014
AUD:

BEC:
Scared: 100FAR first and only attempt: 2014 Wiley textbook, 10 Pt Combo, and WTB
I only get one try to have to give it my all and try to get 75 on my first go around.

K_Sunshine5Participant@Mints, I'm guessing you like leasing? I have been throwing the idea around but everyone I talk to warns against it. I honestly think it would be a good idea for me since I get bored with a car after about 2 years. What do you think the pros and cons are for leasing vs. financing?
Oh, and my dream car would have to be an Audi R8. Luxurious yet sporty. Maybe when I win the lotto ;).

barelystayingsaneMemberI'm a big fan of Honda…currently have a Honda Civic. I'm one of those boring people who's happy with any car as long as it gets me where I need to go. I'm all about investing in a nicer house while skimping on the car…the whole appreciation vs. depreciation thing. As long as the car gets good gas mileage, I'm happy!

AnonymousInactiveWhat what good is HAVING all that money if you don't ENJOY it?!? I get far more pleasure cruising along winding country roads in my car than I do looking at my brokerage statement!
