    Hey everyone.

I have one more exam until im done with this dreaded test and was thinking of upgrading my car. I have an old pathifinder with over 200k miles and it’s just time for an upgrade.

I was just wondering what everyone here is driving, wants to buy and/or will be buying shortly. People in my office seem to all drive bmws, audis, or mercedes! I don’t know if i could spend that much for a car.

@DC , my odometer is around 215k and the suv is running strong, so you have a handful more years to get out of that sucker! I love the a5/s5 and the new sq5 but it's soo much money. I build the car on the website every so often hoping the price will drop to a justifiable amount.

I drive a Mitsubishi Galant, with 315,000 miles on it, and plan to purchase a Kia Sportage for my commute. It gets good gas mileage (decent for a crossover) is AWD for Oregon rain, and I am off the ground more.

    AUD - Jan 9,13 Pass
    REG - Aug 30,13 Pass
    BEC - Oct 26,13 Pass
    FAR - Dec 4,13 Pass

Licensed CPA in the state of Oregon

I drive a Saturn VUE. It has leather and AWD, V6. It is my nicest car. I bought it used a few years ago. My kids totally THRASH my car so I have no desire to get anything nicer. Plus, I think bumpers are for bumping. Haha, kind of an inside joke with only myself. I was parking at my sons school and was pulling all the way forward to try to get my tail out of traffic, barely tapped this Mercedes and the lady flipped out. I really didn't think it was a big deal. I didn't even know that my bumper touched hers until she started going all nutso on me. How nice!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

@Boarderguy I don't know your situation, but man I wish I didn't have a car payment right now. I had a paid off '05 Mazda3 and was caught in a freak hail storm in Phoenix. My car looked like a golf ball (damaged on 95% of the car) and was a total loss to the insurance company. I had just taken it past 100k mi and told myself (and others) I was going to drive it until it had 200k mi or the wheels fell off. It probably would have gone 300k. I turned around and bought a new Mazda3. Despite a relatively low payment ($316) and 0% financing, it's going to be a struggle to make rent+car+insurance+student loans over the next two years. My advice to anyone that needs a car is to get half of what you want & save the whole new car ting for later in life. You'll be happy that your insurance, registration and car payment are much lower than your friends that bought new as soon as something unexpected comes up.

@StephAV Why would you be surprised that someone would become upset that you hit their car? Regardless of how small the damage was, you did something wrong to cause it. With the way cars are designed now, a small tap can cost hundreds of dollars to repair.

    BEC 7/12/13 - 84
    AUD 8/31/13 - 86
    REG 4/11/14 - 84
    FAR 5/30/14 - 88
