    Hey everyone.

I have one more exam until im done with this dreaded test and was thinking of upgrading my car. I have an old pathifinder with over 200k miles and it’s just time for an upgrade.

I was just wondering what everyone here is driving, wants to buy and/or will be buying shortly. People in my office seem to all drive bmws, audis, or mercedes! I don’t know if i could spend that much for a car.

    I drive a 00 maxima.

I will eventually upgrade to something newer and invest everything else for the “big” car,Only need about 500k and an annual income of 250k+ to afford it, figure that's a good 10 year goal lol. I'll also have to shell out 15-20k for a reliable mom-mobile as my soon-to-be wife is wanting children within 5 years. I will never buy new unless it's a high-end performance car (75- 100k+)

I moved to this country in 2006, got my driver's license in 2008 & bought my very first car – 2001 Honda Civic which has only about 80,000 miles on it…paid it off within 4 years and just bought a house this year so can't afford a new car….but when I can afford it, it will be a Subaru – sounds expensive enough but doesn't require super expensive maintenance.

I drive a 2000 Dodge Intrepid. It's paid for and I just can't seem to part with it. I inherited a little money when Mom passed away last year and I keep saying I am going to buy a NEW car. We've been down to the Mercedes dealership a few times and looked around a few others but I would rather have the paid for car and $$ in the bank than a new flashy car. For me, most of the fun is looking anyway. I'll drive the old Dodge until she won't go any morel Besides…no one wants to “key” an old Dodge! =)

Oh, since I will be working in Dallas, TX. I think I should get my AC fixed, Of the almost 10 years I've been driving, I've had working AC for ONE of those years and I live in KC (easily 100+ for days at a time).

@baxter, that's the way to go. No car payment, no problems. That money is better spent invested.

I drive a 2007 Acura TSX. It sounds nice when you say it but it is a pain in the butt. I had a 1992 Honda Accord (only around 120k miles at the time but it was a horrible aqua sea foam green color) that was a really dependable car and I got a job making a little cash. So I think to myself why not upgrade? I deserve this! OH HOW WRONG I WAS.

Flash forward 4 years and I like my card I HATE having a payment, not only this but it requires full coverage insurance which is easily $400-$600 more per year than liability coverage, AND it takes PREMIUM gasoline which is like at least $0.30-$0.50 more per gallon.

After I pay off the remaining balance I'm going to drive it into the ground and I will NEVER buy a car with a payment again. It seems worth it but it never is.

2005 Chevy Aveo. Bought it, cash, after my first Big 4 internship. It's my first car so I'm going to be sad to see it go BUT I really want an Infiniti Coupe. I'll give the Chevy to my little sister as a high school graduation present next year 🙂

    - passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

    Ethics: TBD

I have a 2006 Ford Fusion that I commute with and it is paid for. I also have a 07 Tacoma TRD off-road but I am paying $300 a month for it. I would LOVE a GT-R or the new 2014 Stingray… but I could never justify it unless I had ZERO debt besides a home mortgage and was taking home 150k+. Until then, I will continue to drive the 25k or less vehicles and only have 1 payment at a time.
