It was suggested that I start an Off-Topic thread so that people didn’t need to start a new thread every time.

I thought I saw a thread where someone said the CMA was going away…because of the CGMA??

    Florida:
AUD: 73, 81! Thank you Lord!
BEC: 73, 77! Thank you Lord! and WTB
REG: 71, 82! Thank you Lord! and A71
FAR: 72, 78! Thank you God and my Mommy in Heaven!

teet, they are offered by different organizations. what you probably read was some speculation that the CGMA would overtake the CMA in regards to how potential employers view it but i think at this point it is only speculation as no one with half a brain would give credit to a certificate obtain by paying a fee over one requiring 300 hours of studying.

i want to do the CMA because i think the actual information would be useful to have in a day-to-day fashion. (i work in industry).

CMA and CGMA are by 2 different orgs (IMA and AICPA)

I see the CGMA picking up traction once they have an exam.

How hard is the CMA exams compared to CPA?

After CPA I want to get my credits accumulated and get licensed then call it a day. But who knows… I may consider CMA but not completely sure if I want to.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

I'm taking BEC this Friday and was just thinking about how I hate that Prometric makes you arrive half an hour early to check in and you have to just sit there with no phone or notes! Grr! Oh and that is if there is even room to sit down, last time I had to stand by the door all awkwardly with nothing to do but stare at the other people with nothing to do. Nothing like that to add to the testing anxiety! Okay, vent over.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Steph – that's why I sat in my car studying up to the very last minute – I'm not saying they won't bark at you – I'm just saying that's what I did.

Steph – Over here in Jersey, if you come a half hour early (like you're supposed to), they let you go right in and take the exam. Not too shabby

    F - 89 8/13
    A - 83 12/13
    B - 87 1/14
    R - 82 4/14

    Becker Self-Study.

They call me Markus Sanchez. Yes, we're related.
