If we are not allowed to discuss the exam, and must report anyone who asks us about the exam and so on…, then why do the Becker instructors continually say things like, “We’ve seen questions like this a lot in recent years.”, and “examiners try to trick you with questions like these.” etc.?

Are we only allowed to discuss the exam if there is a massive profit motive? WTF?

All kidding aside, it doesn't really matter what one person sees on the test because guaranteed the next person won't see the same thing.

Becker instructors and all other review course instructors are just stating the obvious questions that were earlier released by the AICPA, and with their permission. Every year AICPA releases questions which are fair game and over the years this has totaled to thousands.

Now, what you can't do is get out of the testing center and start disclosing or discussing with friends outside the testing center or later on in the coming days/ months etc. Thats a clear violation.

Becker instructors and all other review course instructors are just stating the obvious questions that were earlier released by the AICPA, and with their permission. Every year AICPA releases questions which are fair game and over the years this has totaled to thousands.

Now, what you can't do is get out of the testing center and start disclosing or discussing with friends outside the testing center or later on in the coming days/ months etc. Thats a clear violation.

I've wondered about that as well, and just tend to excuse it as “they must be using the AICPA released questions as a basis.” (although most of the AICPA released questions do not seem overly tricky…makes me wonder if the AICPA releases additional questions to the exam prep course providers outside of the ones they make public).

Some individuals revealed specific topics about their exam and I was able to memorize everything before their post was deleted. Two weeks after I took my FAR exam, and it was completely different. I don’t understand why only companies can reveal topics that are being tested more often. Im sure Becker has people that go and test every 6 months to a year to see what is going on the exam.
