I just got back from vacation in the Carolinas.
I noticed the CPA signs that I saw all included CPA PA.
What does the PA stand for? I assume its a NC entity type?

Appears to stand for Professional Association.

In NY we have either LLCs, PLLCs, or PC.

The corporate name used by professional corporations under this Chapter, except as limited by the licensing acts of the respective professions, shall be governed by the provisions of Chapter 55D, provided that professional corporations may use the words “Professional Association, P.A.,” “Professional Corporation,” or “P.C.” in lieu of the corporate designations specified in Chapter 55D, and provided further that licensing boards by regulations may make further corporate name requirements or limitations for the respective professions,

You were about 3 hrs away from where we live. I hope you enjoyed your stay at one of the best states in the nation 🙂

Do you live near the coast?

My eventual long term goal is to probably work another 10-12 years and by the time I'm 50 I'd like to move South to get away from the cold and snow.
I had rented a house in Little River SC.
I was driving through the beach communities of Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach, and Cherry Grove Beach SC looking at the houses for sale.
I like the idea of finding the worst house in the best neighborhood, but even the tear down houses on the ocean/beach are asking half a million, so I guess I need to work a little harder.

My wife and I live in Winston-Salem, part of the Piedmont Triad area, but we frequently go to the beaches. I was also stationed at Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville, NC so wasn't far away from the coastline.
