Ninjas I am hoping I can get some clarity for my self here, I wanted to call the state board but it late today so I thought I would try here as well. When NY states that 1 year of work experience is required is that based on weeks or hours? Does any of the time court twards overtime? What if I worked 60 hours for 2 weeks does that count as if I worked 2 weeks regardless or does that mean that I work the equivalent of 3 weeks?

    Thanks!

BEC: 5/21/14 82! PASSED HALF WAY THERE!

    REG: TBD

    Negative.
Full time = 35 or more hours a week.
Part time = 20 hours a week, 2 weeks part time = 1 week full time.
There is no allowance for OT.

Look at Form 4B. The experience details are outlined in the 3rd paragraph down.

    Full and part time experience.
Full-time employment is considered to be a 5-day work week with 35-40 hours per week, excluding overtime. Acceptable part-time (no fewer than 20 hours per week) experience will be considered on the basis of one week of experience for every two weeks worked. Part-time experience requires supporting documentation that indicates the number of hours worked for each week during the duration. Supporting documentation may include time cards, billing reports, excel spreadsheets, etc. An average of part time work will not be accepted.

At one point in time there was a requirement for 1000 hours in Audit/Attest, but that requirement was wiped out with the 2009 law changes.
