New job and Studying

Hey everyone! I just received a new offer for a job to start on the 18th of this month. Its been a long hard process but I finally found a new gig. My question that comes to mind in worrying me is about studying for an exam. I have already cleared up the 27th and 28th for my exam (i take it the 28th but will need the 27th to travel and finish my final reviewing). However, I am unsure as to what my schedule is going to be like. I know i will be working more hours.

What is my best strategy to be able to put in maximum effort those first 2 weeks of my new job, while still hitting the books decently hard for my REG exam on the 28th? I will definitely be finished the chapters and in my final review stages, but those are definitely the most important part of my study time and I don’t want to mess it up. What should I prepare for?

I just started a new job on 01/07 my strategy is to just answer a MCQ or look at note/flash cards whenever you can, every little bit helps.

I've been working and studying as well. As a new hire, your responsibility is relatively light. So you should take advantage of the extra time you have (i.e. not having to work late nights) and take the exams as early as possible. One way to do it is to plan a detailed study schedule. List out exactly what days you are reviewing the lectures or doing the MCQs on what chapters. You should plan out when you get up in the morning, whether you're going to spend an hour studying in the morning, when you plan on getting off work (leave 1-2 hour flex time here in case something comes up at work and you have to stay late), the nights that you have dinner plans, etc. This will definitely motivate you and you will feel bad about yourself if are not following your own schedule.

P.S. make sure you leave a few hours for catch up time at the end of the week – we all know it's always hard to control your study time when you are working with other people…
