I don’t know if my story matters or not, but it does give hope to some people out there (just like myself). I started out with taking FAR. It was my first CPA exam and I failed (66). Disappointed, I continued the journey with AUD, which I failed (60). Feeling horrible, I did not give up and took REG. I failed (73). I still did not give up. I pushed hard and I took AUD again, which I failed (65)!!!!! AND then I gave up.

But one of my friends told me this – you can take the CIA or CISSP or CISA route (I am an internal auditor btw) instead of taking this exam, but you will always have that “empty” or “incomplete” feelings in your mind – that unfinished gap. I, for one, do not wanna have that unfinished gap. Whenever I see the CPA distinction somewhere, it will always bring me down and make me angry and upset that I didn’t finish.

After giving up for a week, I hit the books again. Towards the middle of June, I decided to go for it. So, I took 3 CPA exams in the month of July – FAR, AUD, and REG. I am retarded, I know. I do not know how this happened since I only reviewed for a week or 2 for each exam, but with some insane miracle, I passed ALL THREE of them – FAR (82), REG (80), and AUD (90). I recently took BEC a few days ago for the first time. I hope that I pass that last exam and complete this intense, yet wonderful journey.

NOTE: I am not telling you to do what I did. Please, do not get the wrong idea!

My point? Don’t give up. Finish what you started. Just like me, you never want that empty/unfinished feeling in your mind. Again, I am just sharing my story, that’s all. Thanks for listening 🙂

Reload, I think the call of the question is overlooked. Becker does point it out somewhat. REG seems to be the worst offender of asking a tremendously long question with a complicated fact pattern but the question is extremely simple and the facts are not needed. Lesson learned early was read the last line first to see what the question was really about.
