Has anyone else had a terrible big 4 experience? I’ve been here for a little over a year and everything about it makes me hate accounting….

Hi there!

I have been working as an accountant for over 10 years – always in industry and always in life science. Bio-tech. And its awesome! You learn SO much working in a public company or even better if you have a chance to ride the IPO train – its pretty cool. Lots of hard work – but SO worth it. And the industry PAYS SOOOO WELL – for qualified candidates with experience. Mind you'd have to deal with auditors – which are the worst. Ha! But, its amazing being on the other side. That's not to say, that if you do you dog years in public. It won't pay off. Industry always loves peeps from public accounting, but even better with a CPA! Hence, why I'm here on this forum, trying to get the certification.
