So I’m trying to find out which class to take next for my MBA. Has anyone ever taken the:

    Seminar in Accounting Theory
    or
    Seminar in Finance

and can you tell me what these classes are about? Is there a lot of writing, research?? I can choose the “seminar” type classes or take regular class such as “Accounting Decision Making”

    Thanks for your help

Is this an MBA program at a traditional university or at a for-profit company?

When I did my MBA at a state university, around 2/3 of the classes were core (required) and the rest were electives which determined my concentration. None of the classes had “Principles” or “Seminar” or “Introduction to” in the course titles. That seems to be typical for friends and coworkers who earned a Masters degree at a university, regardless of their field of study.
