I went to Fordham University and got my MST from them in 2013. I did it a night, part-time after work so it took me about a year and half to complete. As for Big 4 recruiting, I think they go to most large colleges – I know that they were at Fordham. I also did my undergrad at UCONN and they recruited there as well.

I am going to University of Cincinnati, and I know the Big 4 recruit there, I can't speak for any other programs though. Honestly as soon as I added MST in progress to my LinkedIn profile (if you do this make sure you make it clear it is in progress, so you don't mislead anyone), I started getting a lot of interest from recruiters trying to fill all different levels of tax jobs. My background is in corporate tax though, and so most of the jobs have been in that arena not in public.

I know they offer their program online as well, as do a lot of other highly regarded programs (ie – Denver, Golden Gate, USC, and many many more).

Does your MST hold less weight if you do it online?

I am not sure if it holds less weight but if you are planning to obtain your CPA license, certain states have requirements as to which courses must be taken in residence as opposed to online. (Texas has such a requirement).
