Hi CPAs, I am an international student currently in a MACC program. The total required credits to graduate is 41 credits, I have completed five credits for now. I am planning on taking 12 credits more this year. I expected to graduate in the Dec the next year. I hope to do the internships for the next summer, and get offers before graduation. I am just curious how much credits do you usually take in a semester for the MACC program? Will 12 credits be too much for a semester, while at the same time applying and interviewing for jobs? Or it might just be that I am not capable enough to take these many courses.
In addition, I already have 120 credits to sit for the exam in the state I am currently at, so I am thinking it’s a good time for study during the master’s. I took these 4 exams two years ago, but didn’t passed them yet. I am worried that I can’t maintain my GPA and preparing the exam at the same time, then I will just prepare for them after I start to work.

Graduate programs differ from school to school. My MBA considered 9sh full time but in order to finish the program in the “normal” amount of time 12 hrs in the fall and spring and 6 hrs in each summer session were commonly taken. I chose to do 9 in fall and spring with 6 in each summer session and a second fall semester. This is less total program hours than your program requires at 41. 12 hours should not be too much because finding a job shouldn’t take up too much time. Especially if your school participates in Meet the Firms type activities. You have to watch prereqs and what is offered by your school in each semester. The classes you need if you take less than 12 may not be offered in the semester you want to take them. Be sure to work with an advisor on mapping out a complete program schedule to be sure you can graduate when expected. Finally, is the added cost of an additional semester worth it? For me it was but school was much cheaper in my day. Will your financial aid or loan allow for less than 12 hours? Study for the exam after school is done unless your grad program offers prep classes for each exam and it doesn’t add too much to your academic costs. Many employers will chip in on the cost of those. Good luck!🍀 Make fact based decisions.

My program scheduling planning is as follows: (in credit hours) (summer 5+ fall 12+ spring 12+ summer3+ fall9)
There are two more CPA courses, with 0 credits. I haven't settled for the credits for each semester yet. Anyways Thank you very much!

I am sorry for not getting to reply earlier. I am taking four courses total of 12 credits this fall. I have finished five credits already. (summer 5+ fall 12+ spring 12+ summer3+ fall9) However, I feel a bit stressed now, between schoolwork, internship looking, and extracurricular activities to develop leadership or social activities. Since the semester has been almost three weeks, I think there's no chance of withdrawing from the course. I will try hard to maneuver all kinds of activities. Thank you so much.
