How often do people get really embarrassing low scores?

I am scheduled to take my first ever attempt at one of the exams (BEC) on August 30th. Studying was going pretty on schedule until about 2 weeks ago when I began interviewing for a few jobs. I currently work full time and I am handing in my 2 week notice today. I will have 3 days off and then start a brand new job and then 2 weeks later take the exam…..I am terrified that with all this stress going on……what if I embarrass myself with a truly low score….I could reschedule but I already told my new employer about the exam date and they are letting me off work to take it……how late can you reschedule?

@smyoung0521 You seem stressed…first take a breathe…ground yourself…like a tree trunk with roots deep and wrap it around the core of the Earth! Keep breathing slowly….OK, now, let's talk about a plan…30-days you say…4 weeks with a couple extra days latitude..15-hours per week x 4 weeks is 60 hours…Weekends – 4-5 hours per day weekends and 1-2 hours per day hammering on MCQs….So think about what would be the best use of your time to review? Suggestions and everyone can chime in here:

    1. Have you completed all the reading material with your review course?

    2. Have you identified your weak spots?…COSO, Capital Budgets, Variances perhaps?

    3. I assume you are reviewing Ninja notes…Now that you can listen to the Ninja audio while commuting or even at work during breaks and lunch….So that could be beyond the 15-hours per week.

    4. Buy Wiley Test Bank and hammer MCQs..Knock out 30-50 per day x 30 is 900-1,500…You would be hard pressed to find that many questions on Wiley.

    5. Write down the formulas on cue cards and put them all over your bathroom and kitchen..In the morning, while you are getting ready…nail 5-10 formulas like mantras.

    6. The week before the test, review the key concepts – advantages and disadvantages…some ideas for written communications section.

    7. Know the general format for the written format…Rogers Review has a good video on BEC written portion – only 15% of exam.

    OK….Still breathing…?

And one more thing..Whooo! Whoooo! Congratulations you got a new job and round-kicked that BEC test..!

    All the best.

    Keep breathing….
