Looking to move to a new state in the middle of sitting for CPA. Question…

I’m currently looking to move from New Orleans to Portland, OR and I’m wondering at what point should I apply with the Oregon state accountancy board to be an Oregon candidate. Do I have to wait until I actually move to do so? I don’t think that’s a huge deal, except that I want potential employers in Portland to see that I’ve been found eligible to sit for the exam in Oregon.

Currently, I’m scheduled to (re)take BEC on May 14th here in New Orleans. Can anyone provide some insight into the process I’ll need to undergo to move my candidacy from Louisiana to Oregon?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Not sure if LA is a NASBA state, but know OR isn't (or at least wasn't a year ago)…so if I was you, I'd probably go ahead and apply to OR now, and as soon as you're approved there, start scheduling your exams through them, and ask them what they need you to get to transfer the scores.
