Here is my situation. I live in PA and have passed the exam. I have my experience requirements (this is starting to expire on me as I no longer work for a cpa, I am ok until 12/31/2019), but I don’t have enough college credits to get my license. I have 128 total credits and 25 in accounting so I need 22 total credits with 11 in accounting, audit etc. I figure might as well get a masters, preferably in taxation, while picking up the needed credits, but I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg. I also prefer to do some, if not all, of the classes online. I live in the Philadelphia area and work in Wilmington, Delaware. Most programs I have found are in the 30-35k range. Best bang for my buck under 28k would be nice. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I don't know your budget or time constraints, but I'd look at another option… taking 5 3-credit masters level classes which gets you to the 22 hours, I think… and then getting a job… and then getting your employer to pay the rest as part of your CPE

I did my Masters entirely online through Liberty University. I chose it based on the affordability and 100% online format. It is a Christian school, and they do apply that even to the business classes, but if you're ok with that, I found it a good option.
