Thank you SO much for the local info on the Lexington Prometric testing center. It was literally 50 feet from the hotel…just like you said… and I can’t tell you how nice it was to NOT have to worry about finding the place, parking etc. The Prometric staff were amazing. I told them about my recent surgery and how my feet swell if I sit too long. They let me put my shoes in my locker and test in my socks! They also gave me a small stool to prop my feet on which saved the day for me…seriously! I also ordered breakfast from room service before heading over to test! So pass or fail…and I’m believing for a PASS… Best testing experience ever!!!

    Thank you times infinity! 🙂

I've had really good experiences with the Lexington Prometric each time I've been…I just wish I had the heads up about the location before my first time. I think I drove up and down Richmond Road for for 20 minutes before I finally called the testing center for directions.

    FAR - MAY - 84
    AUD - AUG - 88
    REG - AUG - 92
    BEC - Dec - 82

    KY Licensed!

@jdwalton I did the same thing driving up and down Richmond Rd trying to find it my first time!! Not what your nerves need when you're going for your first test lol.

@Baxter So glad it worked out well for you!! 🙂 The staff there are great. I've been to 3 different Prometric centers (2 for CPA; 1 for DSST tests) and the Richmond Rd location is definitely my favorite. I've never stayed at the hotel, but the location is perfect for testing at that center! Here's hoping that this great testing experience was all so that you can end your exams on a good note!

Hmmm…. I wonder how far Lexington is from me as a back up test center. I traveled to Memphis each time. I stay at the Hampton, the staff was very pleasant, and the test center is small but about 10 min away..

@Baxter: Good to hear you had a good experience. This may be it……officially done : – ))

@tncincy You might check out the Knoxville center too. It's not as cheery and friendly as Lexington, but probably closer for you. I didn't have any problems in Knoxville, they were just really uptight. Like, the guy that checks people in (metal detector, fingerprints, etc) is so serious, I've never seen him smile…even when I took the RTRP test so he's handing people their grades, either passing or failing, he still wouldn't smile or anything, just strictly business…whereas the Lexington staff, if you're there early and sitting waiting or after you're done, they'll chat and be friendly. They all seemed like people that I could go hang out with if we were in the same area, whereas the people at Knoxville seemed all business. But…if Lexington isn't too far from you, it's definitely an awesome test center! The proximity of the hotel is great, too. 🙂

Mags603: I took the exam in Lexington, KY. I had originally scheduled the exam for Oct 14 prior to a surgery on Oct 16. I would've lost AUD on Oct 19 if I didn't pass FAR. I asked the state of Illinois (not a NASBA state) for an extension on AUD for medical reasons and they granted the extension through Nov 30. I rescheduled for Nov 14 and still was not ready. When I went to re-schedule again, I wanted a Nov 30 date (Saturday after Thanksgiving and last possible date) and there were no appointments available in my area. I had the choice to go north to Chicago or Bettendorf, IA or south to Lexington, KY. I thought that in the midwest in late November it would be better to go south then north so ..that in a nutshell is how I came to test in Lexington, KY…five hours away from my home. =)

After my last section I complained about the location of my testing center, now I'm feeling guilty. I complained because it is a 25 minute drive from any freeway. It is less than 45 minutes from my house though so I guess I shouldn't complain. I also mentioned that there is no where around the area to study. I tried a Starbucks and a McDonalds and they were both tiny with people packed in like sardines.

That Lexington test center sounds amazing though!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

@Steph My closest test centers are both about an hour more than that away…1 1/2 – 2 hours depending on traffic. I usually just sit in my car if I do a last-minute review, though, so having a study-place near the testing location didn't matter for me.
