After my first failure with 73, I restudied everything again from 0, I did 3100+ MCQs and 100 TBS, I use Wiley and my average score 76+, I believe I know the material, but today I was completely lost…. 85-90% of my MCQs (governmental and some non for profit). I don’t think it’s fear even though I studied governmental accounting, I can’t disclose any specifics, but trust me those questions were very difficult I didn’t expect those kind of questions…, my third teslet was disaster I was going to smash the screen I had SIMS with 8 exhibits + with multiple calculation if I would’ve made one mistake 70% of the SIM would’ve been incorrect, from 8 SIMS I had only 2 where I was able to figure out the answer, I even had one DRS where I had to use the authoritative literature + use 8 exhibits and correct email + record journal entry, I can’t believe it’s possible to finish the exam within 4 hours with those kind of SIMS. I finished everything, but I was guessing to much, I don’t think I passed, but I really hope I’m one the lucky people whose thought they failed, but they passed. My advice for you, study well governmental accounting and be ready for very difficult Simulations. I will post my score on November 5.

Sorry to read that, we seem to be in the same boat brother ( and i hope our boat gets to shore on nov 5th).

I know it sucks when its just a time issue, not that u don't know how to handle the question, 4 hours defentaly not enough,if i just had another hour 🙁

How were the mcq btw?
I bet there were fair (for a cpa exam) but not doable given the time limit.. I mean u could do them but bomb the sims due to the lack of time left. but its not the point right?!

I had the same experience today. Felt like I studied all the material only to be tested on the last couple chapters of the book. I would also add for anyone about to take it practice the AICPA exam online.

All these posts about how much governmental is on FAR is making me want to just skip to the govt/non-profit lectures and then spend like 4 weeks doing MCQ. But with my luck, I'd end up with no govt and all leases or bonds.

Nbmorty, MCQs are not too bad if you know very well governmental accounting, but I don't think we should study all the details of governmental accounting… I would never expect that they're going to test me on the topics that I had.

Lindsey_p87, don't skip anything… you never know what you are gonna get, just learn from your mistakes and improve your knowledge if you fail.
