So glad I found this site! I’ve been studying for FAR the last two weeks and have honestly gotten pretty down about it. I’m doing the Becker self study with flash cards and it’s 100X more difficult than I had expected. I’m just glad to see/hear I’m not the only one out there struggling. I went from a 4.0 accounting major to getting kicked in the %^&*$ by these questions!!! Nothing like taking college classes!

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and say hi. I’ll be spending what small amount of free time I have checking in here periodically. Good luck to everyone!

Hey. I am studying for FAR also (for about a week now) and it is kicking my butt. My difference is that I have been out of school for 13 years and while I am in the profession, there are tons of stuff that you never use depending on what you actually do and you forget stuff you learned.

I am using the Gleim online system. I like it so far but feel really stupid sometimes 😉

Passed all on 1st attempt using GLEIM (full program) and NINJA (MCQ only)!!!

@MTB. This site is great if you want people who can relate to the immense stress and frustration that goes along with studying and who can help you work through and understand any issues you run into.

@CPAgal, Gleim is great! Stick with it and it will give you everything you need to pass. When you get to REG, do not get overwhelmed with phaseouts; Gleim tends to give you more info than you actually need for that section.

Thanks guys/gals! This is a frustrating process for sure. I'm just TIRED of studying and being a student altogether! It's especially been tough because I'm 34, married, and have a 4 year old boy! Honestly, I've fell of the wagon a bit and been lax about my study plan. I've pushed my exam date back and will probably do the same with all the other exams. I just completely underestimated this whole process.

I totally see why they give you 18 months to pass all 4 sections!

Hi MTB15. Honestly, the A71 community is awesome. Everyone is so positive and can really empathize with you because we're all trying to accomplish the same thing.

Welcome MTB and good luck on the exam. I am also taking it in August. It is the most paintful exam to study for out of the four.
