Does anybody know the policy on Accenture? Will they hire me with a misdemeanor dui which was 2 years ago? I have a job offer but it is contingent on a background check. I didn’t have to fill out any questions regarding convictions on the online application.

Also, should I disclose this information to HR or just go through with the background check and let them find out?

Your answer in regards to this question will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know any details on internal practices at Accenture. But as a general thought, the background check is outsourced to a third party company that specializes in background check research, it will detect things like criminal conviction misdemeanors and felonies, favorable/unfavorable credit scores, and things like that.

So you say there was nothing on the application, and seriously you aren't the first person with a DUI in your past that is being hired/works for a firm as the size of Accenture. So I'd say don't worry.

ya its just a dui, i wouldn't sweat it. just don't get another one or else its a felony!

You are right they do use an outside company.

And yes the online application didnt ask about any convictions.

I am sure the background check form will tho

Hopefully I have a chance to disclose and talk to someone and convince them it was a one time stupid mistake and I will never do it again!

Should I tell HR before the background check? or just disclose it on the form and let them find out?
