If you guys want to see if there is a correlation between your CPA scores and your IQ, you should be able to find out in less than 20 minutes. This is not the Benet test that is given to young kids, this is for adults only. Who knows, the results might give you a bit of boost in confidence. The following link will take you to the exam.

The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS) is an intelligence test that was first published in 1955 and designed to measure intelligence in adults and older adolescents. The test was designed by psychologist David Wechsler who believed that intelligence was made up a number of different mental abilities rather than a single general intelligence factor.

I think IQ is more outside the box thinking. Sure there are some who are above the average who also happen to have skills that will help on the CPA exam (photographic memory for example) but I think any correlation is indirect at best. Still, these things are fun and plan to take this after FAR on Monday hah

    Licensed Florida CPA:
    B: 71, 73, 79
    A: 83
    R: 78 (expired), 77
    F: 74, 74, 80

    It's finally freaking over.

There is no correlation. Passed the CPA exam by the skin of my teeth in (gulp) 11 tries. I just scored a 149 on that IQ test without giving it 100% of my attention. (Not saying that I'm a genius by any means. But I *am* good at those kinds of tests.)

The CPA exam is a test of self discipline more than anything, in my opinion. That's something that's much harder for me to master than figuring out riddles and number tricks. And its' something that's much more valuable in real life, if you ask me.

    REG - PASSED
    BEC - PASSED
    AUD - PASSED
    FAR - PASSED

    DONE. 🙂

i got 126 from this IQ test.

Generally, I don't think there is much correlation between IQ and passing rate of CPA exams.

I knew one person, who claimed to have had 100 from real IQ test, passed all CPA exams.

    Currently:
    CPA - Class of 2013
    ALMI (Associate, Life Management Institute)
CISA - Passed in 2011, Certified in 2014

    In Progress:
ASA (Associate of Society of Actuaries) - EXAM P (O), EXAM FM (O), EXAM MFE (X), EXAM MLC (X), EXAM C (X)

I gave up on that one anagram question where the answers were country, river etc… I could not make any sense of that jumble of letters.

No way there is a correlation. I failed Audit my first time. I didn't study for them as much as everyone I know at work, but still.

OK, so what is the correlation between IQ scores and being able pick up hot and cute CPA chicks?

Skynet, I have discovered that after the age of 25 looks are not that Important to girls anymore. In other words, there is a correlation between your IQ, and how hot your significant other will be. In other words, the higher your IQ is, the higher on a scale from 1 to 10 your girl will be. This is assuming of course that you took advantage of your high IQ and you are making close to 170K by the age of 35. I’m talking about those guys who became Doctors, Lawyers or even a CPA who have made it to partner in a firm. Life was so easy before that age, you are making me cry now.

I've never taken a real IQ test, but I would imagine it is much different than this silly thing.

@Witchkizzle: the anagram was Switzerland, I believe. Therefore a country.

@14-month and @koz124 My mid-40's recently single female coworker was commenting on the comparative attractiveness of 2 male friends today and I can promise you that she speaks about the hot guy much more interested-ly than the sweet, friendly, OK-looking, but not-as-hot guy! However, neither one makes $175k – that might change things. 😉
