    To not feel happy for someone in your firm who just passed all four parts? We’ve been on this journey at about the same time but he just found out that he passed all four. Now, everyone is concerned about the stat of my exams and I feel like the pressure is ON. Ugh. Cant shake that feeling of being defeated by this exam but I have to pull through. I really have to. Feeling super sad…must be the weather or me. dammit!!

    Worst thing you can do is focus on others. Keep the focus on yourself, and give it your all. There will always be people who are better and worse than you. Just do your best, and keep your eyes on the prize.

    FAR - 94
    AUD - 99
    REG - 88
    BEC - TBD

    Nope! It means you are human and in pain. Cry, scream, hit something if it makes you feel better (I like to shoot things), but know that this will be over one day. It's like childbirth, it can't hurt forever!!!

    I know the feeling, having watched friends and colleagues pass. You just have to be happy for them.

    As for BEC, you need to get the WILEY Printed book and scour it from end to end while taking notes. They have a great section on variances, which seem to be heavily tested and give people fits. A great visual diagram.

    Do every single one of the questions 3 times at least, more if you are still missing questions. I found the actual exam to be elementary after dealing with the Wiley questions and I did quite well.

    For the ratios, which are easily confused (for me anyway) write them on note cards and review them quickly before bed each night and upon waking. It works.

    YOU guys are the best!! What makes it harder, is that he is announcing it like a loudspeaker in the office. I really am trying to be happy for him.

    @kricket, I know what you mean about childbirth! I was in labor for almost 24 hours!!! Anyway, great analogy and I think I'm gonna head to the shooting range this weekend to blow off some steam.

    @cpapending, yes, I have the wiley printed book and based on your advice on the other post, I have written the ninja notes and now attacking the MC's. I also have the flashcards, the test bank, etc. I really want this bad!

    Well said. I agree with everything you wrote. You're a wise man, Morgan Freeman.

    @supervisor

    Listen to Morgan Freeman. I know it's hard to focus on yourself. I've also been guilty of comparing myself to others, and not just relating to this stupid test (e.g. Why does “X” make more money than me? Why does “Y” have a nicer car than me? Why does “Z” have a gorgeous girl on his arm and I don't?). The point is to not worry about others. Do what you gotta do to achieve your goals, in this case, passing BEC. Say congrats to your co-worker and start studying.

    @Kricket

    After going to a shooting range a few months ago, I decided to stick to shooting basketballs haha.

    @supervisor

    But if he's “announcing it like a loudspeaker in the office”, then maybe you should follow @runhomejack‘s plan haha.

    @fearthebeard, thank you! I am listening to everyone's advice except for the person that just passed because he is being super cocky now and I just want to..u know what. Ugh! Anyway, going to check out runhomejack's plan. lol.

    Take heart in knowing you too will be in his (or her) place when you too get your final passing score on BEC. It will happen…just stay focused.

    I suggest learning how to do a backflip. That way when you pass you can do one off your cube wall. That's much cooler than running around the office screaming you passed “on a loudspeaker” 😉

    I know how you feel! While I was trying to pass I had two colleagues who are younger than me and spent less time studying pass and get their licenses. Fortunately neither of them were obnoxious about it. (That's just not allowed where I work.)

    I used it as motivation to hit the books. (After a happy hour drowning my sorrows in beer of course.)

    You can do it!! Good luck on BEC!!!

    I passed in 2012!

    BEC - PASSED - I'M DONE!!!
    AUD - PASSED (finally!!)
    REG - PASSED (Twice - lost credit first time)
    FAR - PASSED!

    @rebecca, thank you! I have had younger colleagues passed all on their first try but they since then have left the firm. I just didn't have the motivation back then. Now that I do and put 110% into studying it is just a bummer when I fail. The feeling is nauseating.
