    Is it true that you can’t go below 60 in FAR
    ? I am speculating based on my score.
    In other sections it can be 70 to 71 but
    In FAR it may be 60😁😁

    doesn't your signature say you got a 59 on your 2nd attempt?

    I think there was someone on here who did not study and only had one hour of money for the parking garage so they flew through the exam and got a 23?

    I got a 26 on a “didn't study but might as well sit cold just for the experience” FAR attempt. 🙂

    @Sir plus , I meant around 60 , I know if someone fails with 74 doesn’t get pleasure by getting 74 either.
    I know many people on forum who got 60 in FAR hence thought they give easy questions up to 60 and consume valuable time.

    Just had a friend get a 58 on FAR.

    Not sure where some people get their confidence from, but I never felt ready until the day of the exam. No way could someone have talked me into sitting for the exam “just for fun” or to “see where I'm at”

    BEC: 85
    REG: 74, 78
    AUD: 86
    FAR: October?

    There is no such minimum score. 75 is the score to focus on.

    If you fail, don't dwell on it. Yes obvious there's a difference in coming somewhat close or not though.

    @letsrun4it

    I just can't fathom throwing a couple hundred dollars on an exam I know I'm going to fail, let alone losing the day and sitting through a 4 hour exam where I don't know the answer to most of the questions.

    I agree with @tmacpa34-who cares by how much you failed? Still failed…

    @Tim

    You can't fathom it?

    What if you have a test credit expiring, or you have to squeeze it in on a certain date because work or family obligations?

    Studying while working Big4 hours is brutal. Some ppl who are natural test takers do get lucky with doing the bare minimum needed for a 75 and get there more than you'd think.

    The story about someone flying through the exam because of no money for more than an hour of parking is hilarious. Paid roughly $200 for the exam; that's why no money was left for parking. What a waste. Still funny!

    I'm embarrassed to admit, but back when I thought I was “studying” correctly – I got a 47 on FAR and that was basically the straw that broke the camel's back and made me delay trying the whole CPA exam again for a year because I was so beat up about that. It was worse than my first attempt with even worse studying at 67.

    You can also imagine how I felt sitting again a 3rd time and getting a 60 – worse than my first time.

    When I finally passed FAR the 4th time (which really, only the 3rd and 4th time I drilled a ton of MCQ and started studying “the right way”) I really gave it “my all “and got a 76.

    That one passing score led to a road of success I've had that never stopped. It finally built my confidence and if I passed BEC (I will know Feb 6) I'll finally be a C-P-A!

    got a 59 yearsssss ago…it was a “lets go in and study barely and i just got out of school so i should be ok” type of massive fail/reality hitting experience. Took me a full decade to recover from the shock that winging college doesnt do anything to these exams.

    BEC - 68,70,72,75 5/15
    AUD - 78(expired), 77 8/15
    REG - 29,58,65,77 1/16
    FAR - 56,68,73 - retake October hopefully (last shot)

    Been doing this since 2007 on and off...

    It's great you passed! I'm an older candidate too. I noticed you went from a 49 to a 79 in FAR. That's fantastic — how did you do it? I got a 59 on my first FAR attempt. I'm obviously looking to improve my score…

    Thanks for any advice you can give.
