A study tip I find helpful is to pick different study spots. For example, if I have an entire day to study, I like to have 3 different sessions for studying; morning, afternoon, evening. I find having different study environments for each study session help me feel more refreshed/motivated each time rather than going to the same place over and over. Sometime by changing up locations, I find myself “feeling” that my morning study session was the day before when I'm studying in the evening. I mean this in a good way because I basically feel like I'm tricking my mind into thinking I haven't been studying that long for the day when indeed I have.

I'm in my second year at PwC, I unfortunately have not passed an exam yet after a few failed attempts but I just started studying BEC again looking to take in early April. Tough during busy season but my plan is to just study what I can when I get home from work if time permits, then devote my weekends to the books, gotta get it done any way possible at this point.

I want to share the best tips given to me that helped the most.

1.) Work for short periods of time and then take breaks, I was so resentful of giving up my life to study for the exam that for every hour I study, I do 30 mins of something fun.

2.) Don't focus on one section of study material until you've been through all of the study material at least once.

3.) Focus on multiple choice questions and simulations and why you did them incorrectly. If watching lectures, or reading the study materials keeps you from starting to study, then just go right to the multiple choice and simulations.

Always remember to keep reviewing throughout your studies. I use Becker and do progress tests throughout the course to keep the older material slightly fresh in my brain.

    From personal experience:

If anything, ANYTHING, is wrong with the test, computer, conditions, etc. at Prometric, say something immediately. If you continue taking the test, you run the risk that they will not let you retest (for free). I was lucky and Prometric freely admitted that there was a glitch in the software that I used for FAR, but it is never fun to study twice for the same test.

Time management is key for both studying and working. Prioritize what needs to be done, but make sure not to overwork yourself – take breaks!

My CPA exam tip is to make sure that you don't skip over something you don't like or find difficult in your study materials. Hit it head on!
